What’s the level of an HND qualification?

The HND certificate is a level 5 qualification and it can be awarded by several bodies which include the confederation of Tourism and Hospitality and BTEC HND.

Is it possible to obtain a degree course using your HND qualification?

The answer is yes. HND students can move on to the university in order to top up or convert their credits into a full degree in their chosen course or a related subject. This is possible because the credits earned via HND are equivalent to the first two years of an undergraduate program.

However, you can just choose any course with your HND qualification rather you’ll only be able to choose the same course on your HND subject or a similar one—that way, the university will be confident in or trust your abilities.
